It is an amazing opportunity to spend your winter vacation in the mountains and ski resorts. The perfectly balanced itinerary covers famous Gudauri, Bakuriani and Mestia mountain resorts, and trekking through the winter forest of the Borjom- Kharagauli National Park.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Tbilisi – arrival

Arrive in Tbilisi and transfer to your hotel.

After check-in and a short rest, explore Tbilisi with a guided sightseeing tour. You will enjoy a famous Rustaveli Avenue, Sameba Cathedral, Metekhi church, Take a cable car to Narikala Fortress where you will have a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. Walk down to the district of Sulphur bath houses passing by the only mosque in Tbilisi. Stroll through the Sharden full of old narrow streets with cozy cafés, wine tasting bars and souvenir shops. Visit Anchiskhati Basilica, and the clock tower of famous Gabriadze Theatre. Overnight at the hotel.

     

Day 2: Tbilisi – Gudauri

After early breakfast drive to Gudauri, the mountain ski resort.

Gudauri is located on southern slopes of the Caucasus Mountains on the plateau at the height of 2000 meters above the sea level. There are a total of 12 trails and pistes that range from short slalom tracks to 7 km long ski runs. Highest trail point is at 3 250 meters above the sea level (mount Sadzele).

Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 3: Gudauri

Spend a whole day in this wonderful ski town which offers various restaurants, indoor swimming pools, tennis courts, and bowling facilities. Overnight at the hotel.

 

 

Day 4: Gudauri – Borjomi – Bakuriani

After breakfast start journey towards Bakuriani, another famous Georgian ski resort. On the way, make a stop in Borjomi, the town famous for its healing mineral waters and Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. Spend some time (up to 4 hours) experiencing winter trekking through the Park on snowshoes. Have a picnic lunch during trekking, surrounded by breathtaking winter forests. Afterwards drive Bakuriani. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 5: Bakuriani

Spend your day in Bakuriani, a popular skiing destination in Georgia famous for alpine runs and pristine off –trail slopes. Bakuriani is located on the slopes of so called lesser Caucasus Mountains, and provides its visitors a number of cross-country trails for skiing experience. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 6: Bakuriani

Free day at skiing resort. Apart from skiing, Bakuriani also offers a wide range of other winter experiences like skating, driving snowmobiles and horse-ridden sledges. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 7: Bakuriani – Mestia

In the morning, take a day-long drive to Mestia (Svaneti). Check-in on arrival. Overnight at the hotel.

 

    

 

Day 8: Mestia

Svaneti is a highland travel destination, popular all-year round. It is distinguished from other regions with its unique Svan culture, traditions, and picturesque landscapes.

 Svaneti is ideal place for skiing and many other winter activities. Hatsvali ski resort in Mestia guarantees stunning views on Upper Svaneti and joyful skiing experience on various ski trails and runs.

 

Day 9: Mestia

Spend your day in Svaneti known as a “land of thousand towers” for its traditional architecture. Overnight at the hotel.

 

 

Day 10: Mestia – Tbilisi

Early morning drive back to Tbilisi, late evening transfer to the airport.

There are two Georgian Ski resorts: Gudauri and Tetnuldi (Svaneti) -  as a “Mecca” for the lovers of backcountry skiing. Abundant powder, breathtaking vistas and wide open slopes make heliskiing in Georgia an incredible experience.

 

Hiring a guide lets you get the most out of the area and to explore the thrill of fresh virgin snow. Heli-skiing Gudauri and Tetnuldi has some of the finest high altitude powder in Europe, offering virtually unrestricted access up to 5,000 meters.
